FEBRUARY EXAM
This is only a kind reminder: The exam will be in February, on February 2nd (reading, listening and writing) and on 3rd and 7th, February (speaking).
OH PRETTY WOMAN
Oh Pretty Woman was originally a big hit for the Texan Roy Orbison in 1964 but was a hit again in 1990 when it provided the inspiration for the title of the film Pretty Woman, starring Julian Roberts and Richard Gere.
The lyrics tells the story of a man who sees a pretty woman walking by. He likes her very much and wonders if, as beautiful as she is, she is as lonely as he is. At the last minute, she turns back and joins him.
The title was inspired by Orbison's wife Claudette interrupting a conversation to announce she was going out; when Orbison asked if she was okay for cash, his co-writer Bill Dees said "A pretty woman never needs any money."
